Once Upon a Time 706 Shoot Day 7-9

Final cryptic recaps of the shoot.

Day 7 – We finished our time in the woods on a really cool set with some fun visual effects and the like all day. Nearly ran out of daylight but was able to finish thankfully.

Day 8 – Two smaller scenes followed by a big scene on the show’s massive green-screen set. First time I got to shoot on it – didn’t have a scene there in my previous episode so that was fun.

Day 9 – Final day shared with another 2nd unit shoot. Only a pick up shot from a previous scene we needed to get, and then a small scene followed by a major one with two of our main characters. Went out with a bang (don’t read into that – there was no actual bang).

Now, heading back to LA for meetings and editing and then prep on the next one!

Once Upon a Time 706 Shoot Days 4-6

I’m going to combine some of these days as before since I really can’t say anything because of spoilers.

Day 4 – Complicated day of shooting, moving from location to location and finishing with a night exterior.

Day 5 – Back on the stages with a couple of sets recreated from locations to being on stage.

Day 6 – In the woods for a couple longs scenes into the night and wrapping a tad early so hopefully the cast and crew could still enjoy a full weekend.

Once Upon a Time 706 Shoot Days 1-3

I realize now that I didn’t start my daily updates of our shoot days. In part because we shot into the nights on Day 1 and 2 and I found myself too tired to update. Then the long weekend came and I have no excuse other than three days of necessary rejuvenation.

But here it is – day by day, in cryptic form because literally everything is a secret this season.

Day 1 – We shot on location and I now realize I can’t even really describe it for fear of spoiling literally everything this season, but basically we shot at night and it was longish.

Day 2 – At the studio lot where we shot all day/into the late night on one new set which I also cannot reveal. There were actors there though and it was great!

Day 3 – Also on the lot to start the work week after LaboUr Day (the use a “U” up here in Canada!). Shot in two new sets I again can’t divulge. Man, these updates are going to be very lame.

More lame ones to come as the week goes on!
